This option allows you to specify that the new disk space added to a volume file should not be randomized during the expansion process.

The default is OFF, meaning that all new space added to the volume will be filled with random data.

This option is usually only meaningful when you are working with extremely large multi-gigabyte volumes and do not wish to incur the extra time needed to write data throughout the volume.
